Meet Bryony Brodzig, Your Dog Trainer

Hello — I’m Bryony, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m based right here in beautiful Dorset, though my early years were spent growing up abroad, which gave me a love of new places and different perspectives from the start. I’m happily married and a mum to two wonderful children — and alongside my family, dogs have always been my greatest passion. I’m also an autistic adult living with complex, chronic health challenges; they shape my days in many ways, but they’ve never defined what I can do. You might see me using mobility aids, needing a helping hand, or most often, out and about supported by my incredible assistance dog Giles — and now our bright young trainee, Ace. They’re not just my partners; they’re my heart and my legs and my courage, all wrapped up in fur.

I’ve been around dogs my whole life, and I’ve long studied animal care, behaviour and training theory — but everything truly shifted when I set out to train Giles. Determined to give him the very best foundation, I dived deep into the latest science-backed, reward-centred training methods, and what began as love for one dog grew into a calling. That path led me to Canine Allies, where I received wonderful mentorship and built my expertise through accredited training at The Dog Training College.

In February 2025, all those years of patience, learning and quiet teamwork paid off: Giles officially qualified as a fully trained assistance dog. He gives me back so much — he helps manage my health, and he’s given me the confidence and independence to step out into the world again. It was that gift that made me want to do the same for others: later in 2025, Brodzig’s Dog Training was born.

Then in 2026, we welcomed Ace — our lively new puppy, and the one we hope will one day follow in Giles’ footsteps. It’s been such a humbling experience starting all over again with a little one. I know so much more now than I did at the beginning with Giles — and yet, there’s still so much to learn, so many moments that remind me how fresh and wonderful (and chaotic!) puppyhood always is. Doing this journey with Ace, armed with all that experience and knowledge, feels like coming full circle — a chance to walk gently alongside her, and to remember just how much there still is to discover, every single day.

My mission is straightforward: I want to help you build a relationship with your dog that feels happy, safe, confident and truly yours — using only kind, fair, evidence-based methods that respect your dog as the individual they are. Whether you’re bringing a puppy home, working through tricky behaviours, or simply hoping to deepen the bond you already share, I’m here to meet you exactly where you are — and we’ll go forward, one paw at a time.
